Why Do Tough Men Succeed more?
Men with wavering minds are destined to live a common man's life. They mostly live under the shadow of tough men around them. Tough men have ruled the world and they will continue ruling. They are unchallenged. They never accept defeat, thus they succeed.
WHAT DO THE MOST SUCCESSFUL SAY?
Considered one of the best CEOs in this world Jack Welch (Chairman and CEO of General Electric between 1981 and 2001) observed: “Mangers who make tough decisions provide only true job security in today’s world. Weak managers destroy jobs.”
Even real estate billionaire Donald Trump said: “When somebody challenges you, fight back. Be brutal, be tough.”
Success is always hidden behind tough mountains. And there is no way to reach there but to make a way for you with a determination that never loosens up. The history of man is filled with tough fights against nature and circumstances.
In early 1990s I had a two minutes success talk with the richest Indian billionaire and industrialist Dhirubhai Ambani. When I asked him the secret of success, he told that first we must make up our mind on a career we want to take up. Then day and night see only that place where we want to reach. We should be very tough against hurdles.
How true. This great businessman himself was a tough fighter and always achieved what others wouldn't even dream.
HOW TO DEVELOP TOUGHNESS
Dhirubhai Ambani also showed a way to become tough, that's having a constant gaze on your goal in life.
Our life and this world are always full of hurdles which strike at us with regular intervals. We become tough if we keep moving with an eye on our goals.
Being tough depends on our own decisions in life. Life often shows two ways to proceed - one is easy and invokes our soft tendencies, whereas the other is risky and tough but takes us to our goals faster. We have to make a habit to choose the tough road. Without taking risks you can neither become tough nor make fast progress. In the beginning we may feel it difficult to live our life this way. But gradually you succeed more. Weak-hearted persons are left far behind.
