1. You Become Stronger

No one has attained big success or greatness without a large and regular dose of criticism. Although harsh criticism creates tension, unrest and anger in your mind yet you become a stronger and more popular man with its help.  Therefore wise men always welcome criticism.

2. No Escape from Jealousy

Jealously is one of the drawbacks of a human being.  Even if you work very hard and perform well you will always see some persons criticizing you and your achievements.  Even if you have been working with honesty your integrity will be challenged, your dedication will be questioned. But if you are ambitious you have to combat it. If you fear jealousy of others you can't succeed.

3. Tool for Gaining Power

If you face criticism only now and then you may become thin-skinned.  Any criticism may lead you to a furious anger, and damage your health too.  Do something often that you have to face criticism at a regular base.  Learn to laugh at it like it is a compliment. It is not an easy task.  But with a strong desire and regular practice you will become expert.  The more you are criticised the more supporters you will get. And they can push you towards wealth and power.

4.  Might of Bill Gates

Criticism from many part of the world and dozens of lawsuits actually empowered Bill Gates (the richest man of the world) more instead of crushing him. He was always criticized for a desire for monopoly and unhealthy competitive spirit, but he never cared, and bravely marched ahead to establish the biggest company of the world.

5. Have an Aim in Life

Criticism becomes your power only when you are working to achieve an aim. Only then you get a large number of supporters too. If you just invite criticism and not working for an aim you won't be benefited by criticism.  My student Lalita was very intelligent and hard-working.  But she wept whenever she was criticised. Moving in social circle or doing a job was like a torture for her.  Her family atmosphere had made her soft and wavering type. To school her to get a tough personality was not an easy task. She needed an aim and a focused determination for it.  I advised her to meditate daily for ten minutes and pray to the superpower to help her to develop a strong determination to achieve her chief aim in life. Gradually this simple technique transformed her to a combative personality. Criticism was now not a menace for her any more. She became the branch manager of HDFC just in five years.

“Criticism is something we can avoid easily by saying nothing, doing nothing, and being nothing”
